As an assessor of vocational qualifications, it is important to understand the principles and practices of the position and where the role fits in within the industry. This course covers the roles and responsibilities of an assessor and the principles and practices of assessment processes.

The assessor role can require you to assess to occupational standards to ensure learners meet the competency requirements in the work environment. This course includes information on assessing to occupational competence in the working environment.

As an assessor of fitness qualifications, many assessment processes will assess vocational skills, to ensure learner knowledge and understanding. This course will cover the standards and assessment criteria of the fitness industry qualifications and how to assess learners safely and effectively.

A key role of assessing is to abide by key policies and procedures. This course runs through these policies and procedures and explains how they link to the role of an assessor.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

All courses with us are managed though our on-line learning portal called Student Desktop. Once you've signed up to a course you will have access to all the material relevant to your course within your personal learning environment. From there you can simply work through this material at your own pace and book onto and attend a shadowing day and an assessment day.

You will need to attend an assessment day of your choice at one of our assessment centres to complete this course. You will also need to shadow 4 assessments with a fully qualified assessor.

You must hold one of the following qualifications to complete this course: Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing Gym, Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing Exercise to Music (ETM), Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training

This course must be paid for upfront. The balance can be settled using PayPal, a credit or debit card, over the phone, via our secure online portal or in person. For more information about any funding option, please contact our team of career advisors.

Tutor Support Help Desk: Aside from the contact you would receive from the assessor you shadow, you will also have access to our dedicated tutor support help desk. The sole purpose of our tutor support help desk is to assist you with all your study questions and queries. Our team are available via phone, email or through your online learning environment (desktop or mobile).

eClasses: Our tutor support team hold regular eclasses on a variety of topics where they will explain course content in detail and answers any questions you may have on the topic. A full schedule of eclasses can be found in your online learning learning environment and can be booked at the click of a button. All eclasses are recorded and added to our learning library if you are unable to attend or you'd like to hear them again. In addition to tutor support and virtual classes we also offer an assessor feedback service.

Feedback Service: Before you submit your work you will be able to send it to one of our qualified assessors who will provide detailed feedback on both areas you've done well and areas that could use improvement.
