What you’ll qualify with.

The people who build lasting careers as Pilates instructors understand more than the exercises — they understand the body, they know how to instruct, and they know how to deliver sessions that work for every one of their clients. That’s what this course is designed to teach you. You’ll combine flexible online learning with hands-on workshops, guided practice and practical teaching experience. By the time you qualify, you’ll have a Level 3 qualification and the skills and confidence to teach mat-based Pilates in group classes and one-to-one sessions.

You’ll earn the Level 3 Diploma in Delivering Pilates Sessions (RQF), a national qualification listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework. It covers planning and delivering Pilates sessions, the origins and principles of Pilates, how it influences posture and movement, building exercises into logical sequences, and using progressions and regressions to develop each client’s ability.

Your certificate is issued by Focus Awards, a government-regulated national awarding organisation.

CIMSPA is the chartered professional body for UK sport and physical activity, and they’ve awarded us their highest provider rating: ‘Enhancing’. It’s also recognised by REPs, the Register of Exercise Professionals.

You don’t need any previous fitness qualifications. The practical elements are hands-on.

You’ll be assessed on the theory online and upload your portfolio. How and where you complete your practical depends on how you study — see ways to qualify.

TAIT, the first AI tutor in UK fitness education, is with you around the clock for course questions, admin and anything you want to go deeper on. Ask at 11pm on a Friday and you get an answer in seconds, not on Monday.

“I had a great experience on this course with fantastic staff throughout. I decided to take a Pilates course as it had always been something I was interested in, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the content. The support from the learner success team and the dedicated tutors was exceptional. Thank you all for your help—I would definitely recommend TRAINFITNESS to others.”

Michalina L, In-Person

“Did my 2 weekends for Pilates but attended it via Zoom as travelling into London was too expensive as I was based in the Isle of Man. Felt like I was actually there with them, very interactive, not a moment of sitting idle, learnt a lot of progression and clarified how to fill my portfolios. Worth every penny, would recommend.”

Enrol on our Pilates instructor course and train for the Level 3 Diploma in Delivering Pilates Sessions (RQF) — a mat Pilates qualification — with our Qualification Guarantee™ behind you. You study at home and attend two live, tutor-led weekend clinics — in person at our London centre, or from your own home via Microsoft Teams — before filming your practical assessment.

No — you don’t need any previous fitness qualifications to start our Pilates teacher training. The practical elements are hands-on, and if you already go to Pilates classes, you’re better prepared than you think.

Yes — you can do our Pilates instructor training online with Live-Virtual™. You study at home and join both weekend clinics live via Microsoft Teams, coached by a tutor alongside other students. It leads to the same Level 3 Diploma in Delivering Pilates Sessions (RQF) as our In-Person clinics at our London centre.

How long Pilates teacher training takes is set out in your TRAINPathway™. Once you’ve enrolled, you can set it up with TAIT, our AI tutor, and you’ll have a week-by-week plan to get you qualified. Your two clinic weekends run back to back: start one weekend, finish the next.

The Pilates instructor assessment involves online theory assessments, a portfolio and a practical assessment. After your two clinic weekends, you film your practical assessment with at least three participants and upload it with your portfolio to our Help Desk.

Yes — the Level 3 Diploma in Delivering Pilates Sessions (RQF) is a national qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework, awarded by Focus Awards and recognised by CIMSPA and REPs.

Or choose a Payment Plan and spread the regular price over 3, 6 or 12 months with us at 0% APR — interest free. Other plans, up to 60 months, are also available (interest-bearing, with no deposit, subject to status). Either way, you start the minute you enrol, and our Price Match Promise™ means we won’t be beaten on price.

Yes — our In-Person Pilates instructor course runs its two weekend clinics at our London centre. You can also join them live from anywhere with our Live-Virtual™ option.

No — our Pilates instructor course qualifies you to teach mat Pilates, not Reformer Pilates. Reformer Pilates is a separate specialism, and you’ll need a mat Pilates qualification like this one before you can progress to it.

Once you’re qualified to teach Pilates, you can work in gyms, health clubs, independent studios, community settings, corporate wellness programmes and online. Many qualified Pilates instructors work for themselves, running their own classes or building a private client base.

Cookies Policy

We collect information directly from you in a number of ways. One way is through our use of ‘cookies’. Most websites use cookies in order to make them work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the website. They help us to understand how our customers and potential customers use our website so we can develop and improve the design, layout, content and function of the site.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive by websites that you visit. They save and retrieve pieces of information about your visit to the website. For example, how you entered the site, how you navigated through the site and what information and documentation was of interest to you. This means that when you go back to a website, it can give you tailored options based on the information it has stored about you on your last visit. Some of our cookies are used to simply collect information about how visitors use our website and these types of cookies collect the information in an anonymous form.

Where there is a login process relating to buying products or services from us, we also use cookies to store personal registration information so that you do not have to provide it to us again on subsequent visits.

Cookies that are essential for our Sites to work are always set. We only set other cookies, such as analytics and advertising cookies, if you agree to them in the cookie banner shown when you first visit our Sites. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: change your cookie settings.

You can also set your browser to reject or block cookies or to tell you when a website tries to put a cookie on your computer, and you can delete any cookies that are already stored on your computer’s hard drive. However, please be aware that if you block all cookies from our website, parts of the site will not then work, because some of the cookies we use are essential for parts of our Sites to operate. To find out more about cookies, including seeing what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

Change of Purpose

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you wish to get an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us.

If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.

Please note that we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is required or permitted by law.

5. Disclosures of Your Personal Data

We may have to share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purposes set out in the table in paragraph 4 above.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. Some third parties, such as Meta (for WhatsApp), PayPal and finance lenders, act as separate controllers for the data they process and do so under their own privacy policies, as described in the Glossary.

6. International Transfers

Our learner records and messaging systems are hosted in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers process personal data outside the UK. In particular, when we exchange WhatsApp messages with you, those messages are carried and processed by Meta, which may process them in the United States and other countries.

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

Please contact us if you want further information on the specific mechanism used by us when transferring your personal data out of the UK.

7. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

8. Data Retention

How Long Will You Use My Personal Data for?

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.

If you register for or complete a regulated qualification with us, we keep the records needed to confirm, verify or reissue that qualification (such as your identity details, the qualification, your assessment results and the dates of your registration and certification) for as long as our awarding organisations and the qualifications regulator require.

We delete the content of WhatsApp messages (the text, photos and files) 12 months after they were sent or received. We keep a record that a message was exchanged (when, and in which direction) as part of our record of our communications with you. We keep a record of your marketing opt-outs, including a WhatsApp STOP, so that your choice continues to be respected.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data: see How to Ask Us to Delete Your Data below for further information. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

9. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. Please click on the links below to find out more about these rights:

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us.

How to Ask Us to Delete Your Data

To ask us to delete your personal data, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”, or write to our Data Protection Officer at the address in section 1. Please include your name and the email address or phone number you used with us, so that we can find your records.

We will confirm your identity, then delete your personal data within one month of your request (or tell you within that month if we need longer and why). We will confirm to you when it has been done.

We cannot delete everything in every case. We will keep only what we must, and tell you what we have kept and why:

Deleting the data we hold does not delete messages stored on your own phone, or copies held by Meta under its own terms. You can delete a chat in WhatsApp and block our number at any time.

No Fee Usually Required

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

What We May Need From You

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

Time Limit to Respond

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally, it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

10. Glossary

Lawful Basis

Legitimate Interest means the interest of our business in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service/product and the best and most secure experience. We make sure we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before we process your personal data for our legitimate interests. We do not use your personal data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law). You can obtain further information about how we assess our legitimate interests against any potential impact on you in respect of specific activities by contacting us.

Performance of Contract means processing your data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract.

Comply with a legal or regulatory obligation means processing your personal data where it is necessary for compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation that we are subject to.

Consent means your freely given, specific and informed agreement to a particular use of your personal data, such as receiving marketing from us. You can withdraw it at any time.

Third Parties

External Third Parties

Your Legal Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request. See How to Ask Us to Delete Your Data.

Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.

Request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.

Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.

Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
