Group Indoor Cycling Course

Group Indoor Cycling Course

Group indoor cycling is a technical and intense class. This course teaches you the different training methods that can be applied to your classes

There are many different riding positions and techniques used in group indoor cycling and this qualification teaches you all the required techniques to run successful classes.

As with all training modalities group indoor cycling requires structure to ensure participants gain progression towards their training goals. This course gives the required information to design and structure effective and progressive classes.

Due to the technicality of the group indoor cycling and the bike itself, this course covers the necessary planning needed to minimise risks within your classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

All TRAINFITNESS courses are managed via our online learning portal. A main feature of the portal is the Student Desktop which you’ll gain access to as soon as you’ve enrolled. Through it you can view your online course material, book onto course days, training days and assessment days, and watch the relevant recorded audiovisual eClasses~.

Using the TRAINFITNESS app you can also do all of this on the move via the Mobile Student Desktop. The app is compatible with Apple iOS 8.1 and above and Android Jellybean (4.2.2) and above, and of course you’ll need wireless internet connection*.

The group indoor cycling course is delivered part time. You’ll work through the online course material and once completed you’ll book onto and attend a combined training and assessment day.

Before you can request the course certificate, you must satisfy and complete all course requirements. This includes, for example, the online course material which you will complete in your own time and outside of any attendance requirements.

There’s no guarantee that any course will be offered for more than two (2) years from the date you enrol, so you need to make sure you complete the course within this time frame.

*Devices, manufacturers and operating systems are subject to change

You’ll need to book onto and attend a combined training and assessment day. On this day you’ll learn and perform the practical elements of the course as well as the practical assessment. See the Combined Training and Assessment Days tab dates to choose from.

A basic level of English and Maths will be necessary to understand the content, and you’ll hold either of the following qualifications: the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (either Gym-based Exercise, or Exercise to Music), or the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.

You can pay in full, up front, via PayPal, a credit or debit card, over the phone, via our secure online portal or in person.

Learner Support – As well as the support you receive from your tutor during the training day of your group indoor cycling course, you’ll also have access to our Learner Support team, dedicated to assisting you with study questions and queries. The team is generally available via phone, email or through the Helpdesk Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm GMT, excluding Bank holidays and office closures.

eClasses – We offer a library of eClasses on a variety of topics covered in your group indoor cycling course, during which we go over content and answer questions you might have about it. The library can be found in your Student Desktop, where an eClass can be viewed at the click of a button.

Feedback Service – Before you submit your work you will be able to send it to one of our qualified assessors who will provide detailed feedback on both areas you've done well and areas that could use improvement.

Online Community – If you prefer peer-to-peer help with your group indoor cycling course, then you can also join in the conversation on one of our social media profiles: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram.
