Obesity rates also vary significantly by region, with children in the North East of England displaying higher rates of obesity compared to other regions. Socioeconomic factors play a considerable role, with children from the least affluent families being more than twice as likely to be obese compared to their most affluent counterparts.

Lifestyle choices, including poor diet and insufficient physical activity, are major contributors. Being adept at assessing the effectiveness of kids programmes and willing to adapt based on feedback and the evolving needs of the community is a great starting point. Regularly updating sessions to keep them engaging and relevant is key to maintaining interest and maximising health benefits.
Collaborating with local schools, health professionals, and community leaders can amplify the impact of fitness initiatives, creating a supportive network that fosters a culture of health and activity.
