Circuit Training Study Options
The Circuit Training course is offered by Distance Study, Live-Virtual or In-Person study options.
Once enrolled, you will have access to the Learner Success team and the Circuit Training online theory, videos, portfolio, training day (In-Person & Live-Virtual only) and assessment.
Distance
Home study.
You will:
- Complete as home study the online course material and portfolio.
- Film the practical assessment (for which you will need a minimum of three other people).
- Submit via our Help Desk a video of your practical assessment along with a copy of your completed portfolio.
Live Virtual
Home study plus a practical, tutor-led Circuit Instructor Live Virtual Training & Assessment Day that you participate in at home. This Training & Assessment Day is conducted in real-time and is not a pre-recorded video.
You will:
- Book onto a scheduled Circuit Instructor Live Virtual Training & Assessment Day.
- Complete as home study the online course material and portfolio before you participate in the Circuit Instructor Live Virtual Training & Assessment Day. View dates.
- Participate in the Circuit Instructor Live Virtual Training & Assessment Day which will include the practical assessment.
- Submit via our Help Desk a copy of your completed portfolio.
In-Person
Home study plus a practical, tutor-led Circuit Instructor In-Person Training & Assessment Day that you attend at one of our centres.
You will:
- Book onto a scheduled Circuit Instructor In-Person Training & Assessment Day.
- Complete the online course material and portfolio as home study before you attend the Circuit Instructor In-Person Training & Assessment Day. View dates.
- Attend the Circuit Instructor In-Person Training & Assessment Day you have booked onto during which you’ll perform the practical assessment and hand in a copy of your completed portfolio.

Recognition
Our Circuit Instructor course is recognised by CIMSPA.
Prerequisites
A basic level of English and Maths is necessary to understand the content of this circuit training course.
As a minimum, you must hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing qualification or equivalent.
The Circuit Instructor course requires physical exertion and individual participation is necessary, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. Relevant personal experience of circuit training is helpful.
