If you’ve enrolled on the Group Indoor Cycling course as a standalone course or if you’ve enrolled on the Distance study option of either the Personal Trainer Specialist Diploma or the Personal Trainer Master Diploma, you’ll complete as home study the online course material for this course and then book onto and attend a scheduled Indoor Cycling assessment day on which you’ll participate in practical tuition, hand in your portfolio and perform your practical assessment. Alternatively, you can arrange with us to submit with your portfolio a video for the practical assessment (for which you’ll need six participants). Conditions and additional fees apply to the video option, so please call the Learner Support team for more information.
If you’ve chosen to study the Part Time or Full Time study option for either the Personal Trainer Specialist Diploma or the Personal Trainer Master Diploma, you’ll complete as home study the online course material before attending the Group Indoor Cycling clinic day on which you’ll participate in practical tuition, perform the practical assessment and hand in your portfolio.
A basic level of English and Maths is necessary to understand the content.
You must hold a level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing qualification or equivalent.
The Indoor Cycling course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is necessary. Relevant personal experience participating in indoor cycling classes is helpful.
Learner Support – As well as the support you receive from your tutor during the Group Indoor Cycling assessment day, you’ll also have access to our Learner Support team, dedicated to assisting you with study questions and queries. The team is generally available via phone, email or through the Help Desk Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, excluding bank holidays and office closures.
