Study Options

To achieve the Gym Instructor qualification we have three straight-forward study options for you to choose from – Distance, Live Virtual or In-Person.

As soon as you enrol, you’ll have access to all the course material plus the Gym Instructor course assessments, as well as the additional training and the Learner Success team.

Distance

Home study.

You will:

  • Complete as home study the online course material, online theory assessment, workbook and portfolio (before performing any of the practical assessments*).

  • Film the practical assessments in a professional fitness environment (for which you’ll need a minimum of three apparently healthy clients).

  • Submit via our Help Desk a video of your practical assessments and completed portfolio.

As an alternative to submitting a video of your practical assessments, for an additional fee you can either book onto and attend an In-Person assessment held on a scheduled Gym Instructor Assessment Day (to which you’ll bring your one-to-one client and hand in a copy of your completed portfolio – view dates), or you can book onto and perform a Live Virtual assessment at a bespoke time and date you arrange with us (for which you’ll have three clients with you and submit in advance via our Help Desk a copy of your completed portfolio).
