Our antenatal and postnatal exercise course has been designed to enable the fitness professional to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence to cater for antenatal or postnatal clients unsupervised.

The course includes contra-indications to exercise for ante and postnatal clients, how to manage risks in ante and postnatal exercise sessions, and nutritional requirements for the ante and postnatal period.

You will achieve the relevant Level 3 qualification upon successful completion of our Antenatal and Postnatal Fitness Instructor course, the certificate for which will be issued by the awarding organisation.

The course is also recognised by PD:Approval and CIMSPA, and meets the criteria for official American College of Sports Medicine Approved Provider status.


A basic level of English and Maths is necessary to understand the Antenatal and Postnatal Fitness Instructor course content.

As a minimum, you must hold a level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing qualification or equivalent.
