The Yoga Instructor course is delivered part time. You’ll complete as home study the online course material, and complete the 30 hours of practicum (where you observe a qualified yoga instructor in a commercial facility) and portfolio consisting of worksheets, a journal (evidencing 60 hours of yoga practice).
You’ll book onto and attend a Stage 1 yoga training weekend and a Stage 2 yoga training weekend, in that order. You can attend either in person at our London premises, or from the comfort of your own home via our virtual training platform.
You’ll then need to attend your theory assessment and book onto a scheduled yoga assessment day on which you’ll hand in your portfolio and perform your practical assessment. You need to bring three participants with you for the practical assessment, unless you arrange with us beforehand to submit a video for the practical assessment (for which you’ll need six participants). Conditions and additional fees apply to the video option, so please call the Learner Support team for more information. You’ll submit the practicum evidence before the assessment day.
Learner Support – As well as the support you receive from your tutor on a yoga training weekend, you’ll also have access to our Learner Support team, dedicated to assisting you with study questions and queries. The team is generally available via phone, email or through the Help Desk Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, excluding bank holidays and office closures.
Feedback Service – During your yoga course you’ll be assessed in various ways, including via portfolio, and theory and practical assessments. You’re able to send us a video of what you intend to do for your yoga practical assessment and or what you intend to submit as your portfolio beforehand and one of our qualified yoga assessors will provide detailed feedback, both on areas you’ve done well in and areas that could use improvement. You just need to do this at least two weeks prior to the due date of the assessment or the submission date of the portfolio. Additional charges apply.
You need a basic level of Maths and English to understand the content.
If you already hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-based Exercise), you’ll start at the Level 3 section of the course.

Please call us for more information.
