As an assessor of vocational qualifications, it is important to understand the principles and practices of the position and where the role fits in within the industry. This course covers the roles and responsibilities of an assessor and the principles and practices of assessment processes.

The assessor role can require you to assess to occupational standards to ensure learners meet the competency requirements in the work environment. This course includes information on assessing to occupational competence in the working environment.

As an assessor of fitness qualifications, many assessment processes will assess vocational skills, to ensure learner knowledge and understanding. This course will cover the standards and assessment criteria of the fitness industry qualifications and how to assess learners safely and effectively.

A key role of assessing is to abide by key policies and procedures. This course runs through these policies and procedures and explains how they link to the role of an assessor.
