Is this assessor course recognised?

Yes, by REPs and CIMSPA. Also, the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status is met by this course.

What do I need to attend?

You’ll need to book onto and attend a scheduled assessment day on which you’ll hand in your completed portfolio and perform your practical assessment.

What are the prerequisites?

A basic level of English and Maths is necessary to understand the content.

With the assessing certificate, you will then be qualified to assess the qualifications you hold. Fo example, you can only assess on a level 2 gym instructor course if you yourself hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-based Exercise), or equivalent.

Although not a pre-requisite, we recommend you hold either a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-based Exercise or Exercise to Music), or a Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.
